Description

The Michigan Fashion Alliance Network (MFAN) is looking for a socially fierce Marketing/PR Intern for virtual opportunity! If you're plugged in digitally, want authentic experience and believe in the power of media, this may be for you!

We're super hands on and passionate about our image and we want someone that feels the same about their work. MFAN is the goto for fashion in the Michigan area (or at least we will be)

What you'd do:

Collaborate with founder and VP of Operations to assist with improving and expanding our social media presence.
Work with team to enforce our branding message that is to be reflected across our marketing materials, shared in social media, and embraced by The MFAN team.
Assist in the development of unorthodox public relations tactics. Identify and develop opportunities and connections to be used as resources to execute these tactics. You won't have to ever do a traditional press release :)
Research and report on current trends (ie. Social media enhancements, trending hashtags, read blogs, listen to podcasts, browse Pinterest, and attend some networking events)
Monitor day-to-day social media conversations for The Patent Pump
Aid in carrying out client requirements such as scheduling social media posts ; monitoring account activities; and managing production activities.
Must write about Michigan fashion happenings and trends in addition to nationwide happenings.
Should be able to increase social media following through all avenues.

Requirements

Sharp / witty personality
Impeccable eye for style
Strong communication skills, including personal presentation, email, and telephone interaction
Grammar policing skills
Highly organized
Creativity * design skills a plus
Familiar with all social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat)
Ability to learn 3rd party social media tools (Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Simply Measured)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint ( Adobe Creative Suite a plus )
