Description


Garment Machinery Company, Inc. has been selling, installing and servicing commercial laundry machinery in laundromats, hotels, nursing homes, academic institutions since 1939. We are looking for a variety of dedicated interns who can help us make a difference to the companies we serve.

Responsibilities

The successful candidates will bring an awesome can-do attitude, their own laptop with current/legal software and excellent written and verbal skills. They should have a solid understanding of marketing, public relations and/or social media.
Responsibilities will be to contribute to one or all of the following areas of marketing:
-Research and Analytics as needed
-Public Relations: writing of press releases, development of press lists, outreach to media for story pitches
-E-Marketing: Development of e-newsletters, e-blasts, e-databases
-Social Media: Ongoing nurturing social media engagement with target audience(s)
-Online and Affiliate Marketing
-Website development
-Development of advertising and marketing materials
-General support of the marketing mission

Requirements

We are looking for interns who are majoring in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, journalism or similar disciplines. Interns should be professional, positive and dedicated and thrive on contributing to help the companies we serve thrive.
