DescriptionNightOwl is a new local search and discovery platform. Powered by the “Nightlife Genome Project,” the NightOwl mobile app provides personalized search results for bars, clubs, lounges and other venues. By delivering the information that matters most – from their friends, influencers and from others with similar tastes – NightOwl empowers users to discover the perfect place that matches their individual preferences and their current circumstances. Launched in November 2014, NightOwl is available on the Apple App Store and is live in 11 markets in the U.S.

We're a young, growing team of passionate designers, developers, marketers and NYC-lovers who are working hard to build the next big thing in local search.
Interns will be important members of the team. You will NOT be bored, do "bitch-work" or sit around.
As an intern, you will be involved in the core operations of the NightOwl platform and helping our expansion to new markets.
We are looking for someone who can start immediately. Hours flexible. There will be a monthly stipend, depending on the level of time commitment you can make.
ResponsibilitiesAs an intern at NightOwl, you will get hands-on experience across a range of operational and marketing functions.
You’ll learn to:
Operate and maintain the back-end administration platform for a local search platform
Design compelling survey and other customer outreach tools
Coordinate with design, development and marketing teams
Investigate and assess bugs and desired new feature enhancements to determine feasibility and prioritization
You’ll also help run an engaging Twitter feed & Facebook page. You’ll be expected to leverage the NightOwl team's connections to distribute compelling content and help build the brand.
RequirementsApplicants must be well-rounded, have good common sense and proficiency in analytically rigorous environments, have experience in our core market (bars, clubs, nightlife :-)) and have a strong desire to be part of the tech start-up world.
Having a passion for building something great and for living and working in New York City is preferred over experience.
