The Electro-Mechanical Technician will provide support to all departments by performing emergency electrical, electronic and mechanical repairs to all manufacturing and support equipment in the facility. The technician will complete assigned preventive maintenance and routine work order requests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Troubleshoot and repair of AC/DC drives and motors, power supplies, electronic circuit boards, programmable logic controllers, CNC controls and interfacing, electrical wiring, switches, relays, and other various electrical and electronic systems.
Installation or relocation of electrical conduit, wiring, outlets, breakers, transformers, lighting, and disconnect switches in accordance with the National Electrical Code requirements.
Repairs or replaces mechanical components such as: gears, shafts, sprockets, chains, and bearing.
Repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems to component level.
Welding and fabrication: MIG, TIG, Stick, Oxygen/Acetylene, Plasma Cutter, hand and power tools.
Plumbing skills: Installation of piping, fittings, valves, pumps and related items.
Performs Preventive Maintenance on production and support equipment.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Exposure to all hazards within manufacturing facility including chemical, noise, high/low voltage, etc.
General manufacturing environment.
Personal safety protective equipment as required.
CNC controls, PLC’s, interfacing, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Principles of electricity and wiring connections.
Practices, procedures, tools and equipment used in electrical and mechanical repair and installation.
Occupational hazards and required safety precautions in working with high and low voltage energized lines.
Read and understand electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics, drawing, and blueprints.
Exercise skill in the use of hand and power tools and electrical test equipment to repair industrial equipment.
Identify, analyze and resolve problems related to electrical/electronic machinery and equipment.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Lift 40 pounds.

An Associate degree or equivalent in electronics with a minimum of one year of experience or three years of experience in an industrial environment working as a electro-mechanical technician or similar position.
