Position Project title: Automation Technician (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
Excellent opportunity for a trade school student to be mentored by our Facility Director.
We are looking to fill this position during the hours of 8-5 Monday - Friday (Possible Saturdays for special projects)
We would like to begin the interview process as soon as possible.
We at Vitamix feel strongly in helping students in this field get hands on training for possible employment here or to further their education and become more experienced working directly with our technicians.
ResponsibilitiesThe student will also be learning how to trouble shoot problems and mechanical faults in factory equipment.
We are looking for someone mature, responsible, and serious about continuing their education in this field and be able to follow office, lab, and warehouse rules and regulations. On a day-to-day basis the student will be given various projects and tasks to complete and be assisting the facilities director as needed. Some side by side work will be given so this person must work well with others and be able to take direction. The student should also be able to work independently when needed.
RequirementsVitamix Laboratories is looking for a full time High School Graduate or college student to intern in our facility.
We are looking for someone who is interested in furthering their education to get hands on training and experience working closely with the companies Facilities Director. We prefer a student who is majoring in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or someone with a 2 year associates degree that needs work experience.
We prefer a student who is comfortable with using hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment.
The student will be assisting in maintaining factory machinery. ie; making parts, using lathe, milling machine, and welder. Other equipment will be used and taught as needed.
