DescriptionCine Qua Non, Inc./Incite Pictures is an award-winning independent nonprofit documentary film company dedicated to producing high profile documentaries on social and cultural issues.
We're looking for an intern to contribute to an Outreach and Engagement Campaign, as well as create additional media, to launch our upcoming feature-documentary, Young Lakota, which will be nationally broadcast on PBS's Independent Lens in November 2013. Other duties will include assisting in the creation and promotion of a series of web videos that will be accompanying the film.
Young Lakota is a feature documentary that follows three young people on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota during a tumultuous political season that hinges on reproductive rights and tribal sovereignty. The Intern's primary role will be working on the design and implementation of social media leading up to, during, and after the national broadcast, as well as helping to set up local events.
· Assisting in design and creation of Young Lakota website and promotional materials
· Researching and writing for social media, continuing to build a community of support and interest around the project. Writing articles, working with other writers and bloggers.
·Publicizing events on the ground that raise awareness, educate, and generate discussion.
