DescriptionLions Vision Productions is seeking a serious intern who is highly energetic to be the glue that binds Lions Vision Productions, its founder & Executive Producer, LaTia McNeely-Sandiford and the team. This position starts as a stipend internship + incentives, to progress to full time based on workmanship. LaTia and her company are growing to be recognizable brands in the field of media production. LaTia is the Adversity Expert. She is Union County’s 2014 Woman of Excellence for Entrepreneurship, as well as, a published author, Inspirational Speaker and Success Coach.
Our production schedule is a very active phase with multi projects taking place at this time. Therefore, we need only serious candidates who can begin immediately to inquire. Although this is an entry level position, it is primed for long-term for the right person. Lions Vision Productions is only interested in those willing to take the long-term journey with us. If you are looking for a ‘gig’, this is not the position for you.
Our Current Roster – Lions Vision Productions is in the midst of the second leg of our three part book tour (local, regional, national), promoting the first literary works from the company, Burdens in My Backpack. All Burdens in My Backpack project and activities are ongoing and produced by Lions Vision Productions. Additionally, LVP is in production on the book’s documentary movie ‘Burdens in My Backpack: Inside the Lion’s Den. Soon we will be casting for two television shows, Super Dads and Back Story scheduled for production in 2015. As part of our ongoing productions, we regularly produce the Worthy Women’s seminars series (2nd and 4th Thursday of each month) and Worthy Women’s Entrepreneurial Expos for entrepreneurs and aspiring.
LVP, LLC, is a New Jersey based multimedia production company that produces motivational media that educates, inspires, motivates and empowers people to overcome adversity and achieve success. We produce movies, books, television shows, women's entrepreneurial seminars and events. The ideal Production Assistant for LVP will be able to cross brands with LaTia the author, performing some duties as LaTia’s booking assistant. Our ideal candidate will be local and instrumental in working with Lions Vision Productions team (LaTia, her publicist, videographer and other event staff) to assure that all productions are coordinated and executed with the utmost efficiency.
Our perfect ‘gem’ will be a lover of media (possibly college student or recent grad) who is seeking an entry level position with growth opportunity in the field of multimedia. The Production Assistant is hired by the Lions Vision Productions Managing Members. The Production Assistant reports directly to the Managing Members who are responsible for his/her performance evaluations.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include by not limited to):
Participating in weekly production meetings (via conference call or in person).
Facilitating all productions including seminars, book signings, events, and film projects.
Fact checking, research, proof reading and distributing information to cast and crew.
Data entry, filing and making phone calls.
Organizing travel plans for cast, crew and production executives.
Liaison between other clients, studios, networks and producers.
Typing, editing, copying and distributing scripts (when applicable).
Running errands between production office and other departments.
Dealing with accounts and expenses.
Keeping track of timing during programming, events and productions.
Overseeing venue logistics.
Managing schedules for projects in all levels of production.
Managing company correspondence.
Keeping abreast of social media traffic.
Completing administrative tasks carefully and efficiently.
Providing support to camera crew, audio engineer, lighting tech and sound crew.
Screening set locations.
Scheduling & tracking projects through development and production.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Members at Lions Vision Productions.
RequirementsThe Production Assistant (PA) is an entry level position responsible for providing support and assistance on all LVP productions including movies, television shows, seminars, events and books related activities. This position is highly visible and requires a great deal of interpersonal skills. The job of a PA can vary greatly depending on the budget and specific requirements of a production. This position will most likely require long hours, weekends and some holidays especially during movie productions. The PA is a central point of contact for all members of the production crew. The primary responsibility of the PA is to assure the best possible production as set forth by the LVP.
This PA position is all inclusive which means you may work in any or all of the following areas (but not limited to):
Social Media Management
Booking/ Casting Calls
Valid driver’s license AND Passport (passport can be in progress)
Excellent Computer Skills with Social Media Savvy - Final Cut Pro A Plus
Articulate with ability to communicate effectively.
Extreme organization skills
Flexible schedule (must be able to work 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 10-3)
Limited regular responsibilities (position not suited for busy moms)
College Student, Recent Grad, High School Grad with Media Aspirations - Media Major
Ability to work effectively in high pressure environments.
Ability to multitask effectively producing high quality outcomes.
Self motivated, self starter and takes initiative.
Leadership skills ability to give directives.
Prior Production Assistant experience a plus
