DescriptionDo you want to meet fascinating musicians and be involved with cutting edge music. Are you interested in being part of a radio program with a national audience? You'll get all that, as well as the usual internship jobs of filing, data-entry and coffee runs.
We're seeking a detail-oriented, self-starting team player to assist in the production of a nationwide radio program and on-line music streaming service. The motivated intern will obtain skills and knowledge in digital audio production, public radio feature production, live music recording, customer service and social media.
It's a great opportunity to grow along with us, experiencing incredible music and musicians first hand, learning the creative world of public radio, music and webcasting.
This is an unpaid internship that is available for school credit for high school or college students. Preference will be given to those enrolled in an accredited internship program.

ResponsibilitiesDuties include pre-editing interviews, interview research, archiving of audio files, production assistance for live performances, creating on-line music streams and interviews, maintaining databases and viral marketing. Helping in the sales of small online CD catalog including packaging and mailing retail orders,. Assisting in marketing projects. Offering customer relations by answering phones and listener mail, general clerical work.
RequirementsRequires a commitment to 12 hours per week, with some flexibility for special events and off-hour sessions. Skills required include accurate typing, basic database skills, online experience, computer proficiency, ability to work and meet deadlines on one's own, and interest in music. Experience with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel is required. Experience with Dreamweaver and other web applications preferred.
