Description

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who is well-rounded and seeking on-the-job experience working with clients and being a part of building sustainability within the Social Enterprises we support. This experience is meant to Brand your Expertise and promote the work that is uniquely yours and gifted to VERTIKAL to use as we build this movement. Can be done virtual hours. Right now this would be a great supplement to what you are doing or if you need minimum hours that will increase over time.

We have several Social Enterprises we are passionate about Social enterprises trade to tackle social problems, improve communities, people's life chances, or the environment. They make their money from selling goods and services in the open market, but they reinvest their profits back into the business or the local community. And when they profit, society profits creating sustainability in communities. Our programs are Vertikal Life Magazine, Women On The Rise, The Vertikal Reading Room, Teen Vertikal Media Camp, and She's More Network are Social Enterprises of VERTIKAL Alliance International.

Responsibilities

- Assist the HR team with posting positions, sourcing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial phone screenings.
- Participate in college recruiting events to represent the company and identify potential candidates
- Provide administrative support to HR managers, including, calendar management, organizing travel and events, completing expense reports, and submitting service requests
- Answer phones, distribute mail, print/copy documents, order supplies, and set up meetings including conference lines/ video conferences.
- Demonstrate discretion, integrity, fair-mindedness, and a persuasive, congenial personality

Requirements

- Assist the VERTIKAL team with posting positions, sourcing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial phone screenings.

Provide administrative support to President, including, calendar management, organizing travel and events, completing expense reports, and submitting service requests

Make phone calls and Answer phones, distribute mail, print/copy documents, order supplies, and set up meetings including conference lines/ video conferences.

Assist clients and demonstrate discretion, integrity, fair-mindedness, and a persuasive, congenial personality.

Will occasionally work with our clients worldwide and must be familiar with Cultural and Time Zone differences.

Familiar with Microsoft Word, Wordpress, SKYPE, Hootsuite, Asana or Trello Project Management, and Mail Chimp. Would prefer you have some experience or have trained. We will train.

Please make sure you read all correspondence and send all necessary school information and paperwork that is intended for credit if you are doing internship for grades.

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

Possess and exhibit a strong and genuine interest in working with people and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
