Description

ARRVLS is a story-driven podcast and transmedia project that features stories of migration, transformation, and change through the eyes of remarkable men and women. We are currently taking applications for an Associate Producer intern. The right candidate should have a passion for storytelling and radio, and a desire to learn and help build a fledgling organization from the ground up.

Responsibilities


Production

Assist with research and story development
Send out media/press inquiries and schedule guests
Field recording assistance, tape logging, and transcription
Audio editorial work: scoping, editing, and refining stories
Assist with sound design, mixing, and mastering of episodes

Content Management

Cross-platform publishing of episodes: descriptions, tagging, and uploading of finished content
Brainstorm regular web journal content, facebook, twitter, and instagram posting

Marketing & Promotion

Help build our web presence and refine our social media strategy across all platforms
Assist in the grants & partnerships division of ARRVLS: showcase applications, station requests, feature inquiries, and more.

Requirements

Interest and experience in journalism, storytelling, or media production is a requirement.

Experience with audio recording and engineering equipment and software a plus.

The ideal candidate will live in the New York City area, but we will consider adjusted forms of the internship program for remote participants.

Preferred - Audio Editing, Digital Recording, Editing, Logic Pro
