DescriptionVERTIKAL needs a Business Developer and Sales intern. This position is paid position and results oriented, you will be assisting our current Business Developer and learning how to cultivate Business relationships nationally and globally.

We have several Social Enterprises we are passionate about: Social enterprises trade to tackle social problems, improve communities, people's life chances, or the environment. They make their money from selling goods and services in the open market, but they reinvest their profits back into the business or the local community. And when they profit, society profits creating sustainability in communities. Our programs are Vertikal Life Magazine, Women On The Rise, The Vertikal Reading Room, Teen Vertikal Media Camp, and She's More Network are Social Enterprises of VERTIKAL Alliance International.
The individuals we are looking for to apply for these internships is one that is looking to get a well-rounded on-the-job experience working with clients and being a part of building sustainability within the Social Enterprises we support. All Internships time frames are for one semester and can be extended to a year. This experience is meant to Brand your Expertise and promote the work that is uniquely yours and gifted to VERTIKAL to use as we build this movement.

Responsibilities- Provide research on potential and existing clients and the competitive landscape
- Managing and following up on digital marketing campaigns
- Assist in identifying potential business opportunities
- Monitor news and developments relating to, or impacting, key clients/prospects
- Prepare periodic reports on screening, tracking, and monitoring clients and prospects
Requirements- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
- Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone, email and face to face
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation and writing skills
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree or equivalent education
