DescriptionPaid part-time internship, community reporting and production, located on Lower Cape Cod. Specific days/hours negotiatable.
Lower Cape Community TV is a nonprofit community television and video production organization. We air and distribute locally produced shows on a wide variety of topics, teach people how to use video and other media to create a voice and become citizen journalists, and support individuals and organizations as they produce community programming. We are developing local news, arts, and storytelling capacities in both ourselves and across our region.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the creation of community-based news, feature, and arts programming.
Support video production and editing (Final Cut X)
Support studio production (Tricaster).
Support remote production.
Write social media, marketing, and other community outreach materials as needed.
Students will have the opportunity to produce one or more portfolio/reel ready reporting pieces.
Student will also have the opportunity to build hands on experience on professional studio and field video production gear.
RequirementsMajoring in journalism, communications, media, or video/film production.
Experience with story telling in words, photos, video.
Willingness to learn technology tools and tasks.
Belief in community-based journalism, community storytelling, and community voice.
Comfortable interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Pleasant, positive outlook and professional manner.
