DescriptionYGENMAG was started by former venture capitalists who invested in digital media and realized there was a void to be filled, as we could not find a website that helps us (upscale Millenials who spend time who live in major cities) find the best places to hang out, in a more minimalist way than Thrillist or more generic lifestyle websites. YGENMAG curates the best spots for upscale Millenials to hang out in major cities such as New York, LA, SF, and Chicago, with plans to expand to DC, Boston, London, Miami, and the Hamptons.
Your job is to write new articles about what is cool from your own experiences in daily life or otherwise. We would like interns to spend a few hours of time writing 2-4 articles weekly. In exchange, we will provide perks such as complimentary meals or drinks at the spots you are reviewing, mentoring, references, and introductions to media companies we know for potential paid opportunities. There is no pay included in the beginning, however if you find that web marketing and internet blogging is your passion, we would love to go the distance with you. If anything, this is a great place to get your feet wet and learn about a fast paced website with many moving parts.
RequirementsWhat we are looking for someone who is...
Enthusiastic and creative. Ability to help out various teams and juggle projects.
A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Excitement about new nightlife spots, restaurants, hotels, and other cool happenings in NYC and beyond
Current student based in the New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Chicago region
