Description

OneGlobe Citizen is a global media-tech platform that produces and curates a wide variety
of thought-provoking, entertaining, and inspiring content that reveals the beauty of the
people, places, and cultures that make up our global community. Through a cutting-edge
geotag-based tech platform along with original editorial and multimedia content, OneGlobe
Citizen invites users to discover, explore, and connect with the rest of our planet.

Editorial interns will report to the Senior Editor and provide semester-long support
throughout the editorial process while practicing and developing skills in AP style literary
journalism. Interns will engage at all stages of the editorial process from developing topics
and pitches to writing and revising original pieces and providing copyediting support to
editorial staff.

Responsibilities

Write a minimum of two 600- to 800-word articles for publication to OneGlobe Citizen’s
online platform per month
Assist editorial staff with copyediting and fact checking pieces in production queue
Attend weekly status and content strategy meetings
Provide additional support as needed

Requirements

 Junior, senior, or graduate student, preferably majoring in writing, journalism, or
communications
 Passionate about writing creative and engaging narrative nonfiction articles and collaborate
with a team of writers and editors
 Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
 Ability to adhere to a strict production schedule and meet all relevant deadlines
 Clear, direct, and professional communication skills
 Robust knowledge of various international cultures preferred
 Previous publication work preferred but not necessary
