The Editorial Research Assistant will work to support the main editorial staff with administrative duties. The individual(s) in this role will learn about how the organization works and take on more responsibilities as they gain experience.

Responsibilities

Follow up with emails and phone inquiries from writers and public. Research topics, stories and individuals for both interviews and social media platforms as they pertain to the mission of the magazine. Update spreadsheets and calendars.

Organized
Self-starter
Multi-task oriented
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Good writing and proofreading skills
Ability to type 40+ wpm.
Strong Internet research skills.
Strong interest in current events.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Time management skills
Ability to work effectively on a team.
Familiarity with Macs and/or Windows computers and applications
Time Management skills
Effective communication skills
