Description

ZAP Entertainment is an LA-based TV and online production company that produces entertainment news content for Television networks and online platforms including our own platform ScreenSlam - https://www.youtube.com/user/ScreenSlam.

We’re looking for entertainment news production interns who will work with our producers and editors to write and produce entertainment news content for our daily, weekly and serialized programs. Interns will participate in new content development – from conception to final product – as well as in news gathering activities. By the end of the internship these individuals will have acquired a basic professional skills set as entertainment news TV and online producers.

Responsibilities

Interns will scan daily news sources for suitable entertainment news topics and ideas and help our producers in the research, writing and production of TV and online segments. Interns will transcribe interviews and help maintain our video library and conduct research in it. They will go out with our crews to interviews and to red carpet events where they will take photos and post them to our social media platforms. Eventually interns will be expected to write their own segments and produce them with our video editors.

Requirements

We’re looking for individuals who are savvy, versed in pop culture and entertainment news and have a background in production, writing or journalism. Prior experience is a huge plus.
