DescriptionWe at the entertainment magazine, MXDWN, are searching for interns to write for online journalism on video games/gaming industry for Games Section. Originally focused on solely writing music news, our site has expanded to create sections covering other medias such as movies and television. Currently, we are looking for writers to join our team in the gaming section.
• Be detail oriented in grammar, and have strong control of language.
• Be passionate about and have decent knowledge of games, consoles, developers, titles, etc.
• Have proficient communication skills.
• Be courteous and willing to work well on a team.
Please keep in mind that all work is done online and is unpaid. Applicants will be considered from any city in the U.S.A. Applicants will be asked to independently research relevant and exciting topics, and produce original 300-500 word articles for a minimum of 5 days a week. Applicant will work directly with other writer/the editor—must be ready to be in constant contact through email, text, or phone.
A major/degree in English or Journalism, background or job experience in journalism is a plus, but not required. Applicants will be instructed on how to publish, cite, and format articles properly. We will prepare you by training you in the necessary procedures. Please come prepared with a professional attitude and respect for your peers.
