Content writers produce original and curated stories for our readers on various issues and topics. You will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to your local media group as well as the larger community. You will work directly with company leadership to develop and proactively implement brand awareness, content, and marketing initiatives. If you are selected to join our team you will be asked to produce original video coverage for our magazine, to collaborate with written pieces that will intrigue our readers, and on occasion be part of an interview team.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have their over camera, strong editing skills, be familiar with web publishing tools, and be somewhat NYC savvy. Any photography and/or graphic design experience is a plus. We are looking for a responsible, self-motivated, creative, and well organized team member with a bright outlook and eye for provocative and cutting edge content. Interns must reside within the greater New York City area.


Day-to-day tasks and projects may include, but are not limited to:

Contributing and researching story ideas
Fact-checking and copy editing content
Producing photos
Interacting on social media platforms and promoting content initiatives
Coordinating with existing staff for assignments and initiatives

Attend weekly meetings with Content Manager
Be present during work hours

Exceptional photography and editing skills
Familiarity with web publishing tools
Ability to work under deadlines and appropriately prioritize tasks
Avid user of Youtube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other popular social media outlets
Variety of interests and eye for provocative content
Well organized and self motivated
