Description

Denver Open Media, a project within the Open Media Foundation, runs the only public access TV station in Denver, and we would be excited for you to join our team! This position is for someone with an interest in learning the inner workings of a television station, including studios, video production, editing, and industry specific IT equipment. Station interns will work with the Station Director to: provide outstanding member services including managing equipment check-outs/ins; maintaining gear and performing nightly inventory; content digitization; assisting with studio shoots; helping organize station events; conducting web research and data entry; mentoring youth interns and technical trouble-shooting.

Requirements

Applicants must be friendly and outgoing, have an interest in studio management, production, public access television, or community engagement. Candidates should also be excited about working with diverse populations and have a passion for independent production. Interns will be fully trained by staff so no prior experience in station management is required, although any prior media experience is extremely helpful and technical expertise is preferred. Interest in non-profits and movements for social change a plus.
