The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) is one of the leading Hispanic non-profit and non-partisan 501(c) (3) organizations in the country. CHCI was established in 1978 by Congressman Edward Roybal, Congressman E. “Kika” de la Garza, and Congressman Baltasar Corrada to develop the next generation of Latino leaders. To fulfill its mission, CHCI offers nationally-recognized educational and leadership development programs, services, and activities that promote the growth of its participants as effective professionals and strong leaders.


Support the Manager for Public Relations and Media in the following areas:
1) Research English and Spanish media outlets including print, radio and television
2) Create and maintain media contact lists
Assist with pitching stories to appropriate media outlets
3) Draft press releases for organizational events and initiatives
4) Follow up with media outlets on stories
Assist with special projects


Education and or experience in public relations and media preferred. Strong writing skills and proficient in Spanish a plus.
