DescriptionAsia Television Limited (ATV) was first established in May 1957. It was the first television station in Hong Kong and the first Chinese TV worldwide. It remains one of the two free-to-air television broadcasters in Hong Kong today, covering China, Macau, Hong Kong, Australia, America, and other oversea locations. Its worldwide audience reaches over 1 billion.
Launched in 2002, ATV Home Channel (America) offers American, Canadian, and South American audiences a wide range of programming in Cantonese, directly from Hong Kong, 24 hours a day, on Echostar‘s DISH Network, Galaxy 3C, Comcast Cable Communications, Rogers Cable Communications, Kylin IPTV, and Italk TV. As of 2014, ATV subscribers boast over 520,000 households nationwide. It has over 1,000,000 individual audiences in the New York Tri-state area, and over 3,000,000 individual audiences in South and North America.
In June 2013, we held an ATV 2013 Miss Asia Pageant - U.S. East Coast with supports from many sponsors. This glamorous event turned out to be an enormous success. The Pageant had attracted many contestants with a diverse Asian ethnic background. We also treasured the opportunity to ring the NASDAQ Closing Bell with the International Women Forum. It was a showcase event and a celebration of the beauty, intelligence, and talents of Asian women.
To extend the success, we produce two episodes "NEW YORK EXPRESS"(NYE) weekly, which broadcasts everyday at 19:25 and 21:05 EST on ATV Home (America) channel. We have our beautiful Miss Asia finalists to be the hostesses of the program. NYE program contents include reports on food; fashion; life information; social development & commercial activities; Asian ethnic achievements in New York metropolitan areas; and extended coverage from North America to Central and South America.
Capitalizing on our affiliation with ATV in Asia, ATV Home Channel (America) can exchange information between America and Hong Kong instantly. For example, on December 30, 2013, ATV Home (America) live-broadcasted from Hong Kong an all-star tribute to pop legend Anita Mui on the 10th anniversary of the Cantopop diva’s passing.
Through our media platform, which has a reach to our 1 million and growing audience in the New York area, and an audience of 3 million throughout the continents of America.
Responsibilities- Utilizes social media to engage with a community of fans/followers online
- Coordinates online marketing and advertising campaigns
- Collaborates with internal departments on projects and assignments
- Demonstrates interest in social media and how media and communication strategies can continuously engage the online community
Requirements- Provide links to 1-3 social networking profiles to demonstrate interest and knowledge
- Possesses skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management
- Performs well in environment that values creativity, flexibility, and variety
- Exhibits personal qualities, such as open-mindedness, enthusiasm, and adaptability
- Prefers challenges, fast pace, new ideas, future focus, and unstructured environment
- Speak Chinese is a plus
