DescriptionWisecrack is a digital first, multi-platform media studio formed by academics, comedians, artists, and filmmakers who are endlessly curious about the world around us.
With hit shows including Thug Notes, Earthling Cinema, 8Bit Philosophy and the Wisecrack Edition, Wisecrack is on a mission to make hilarious content that opens people’s minds. Wisecrack has over 100 million views, 1,500,000 loyal fans, a book published by Random House, and more than 100 new videos per year. Our shows have been featured in The New York Times , Forbes , MTV, NPR, BET, PBS. And, Fast Company named Wisecrack to its list of Most Innovative Companies of 2016.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
● Research, development and writing for upcoming content on the Wisecrack YouTube channel
● Analytics and data tracking for various projects throughout the business (websites, channel performance metrics, merchandise sales, email marketing, social media, etc.)
● Marketing and distribution tasks, including managing existing and exploring new distribution platforms and initiatives, facilitating fan promotions and giveaways, tracking press coverage, conducting social media experiments and more
● Exploring options for future studio initiatives, including merchandise vendor selection, creative collaborations, and strategic partnerships
RequirementsThe ideal candidates are smart, ambitious, and hungry to learn. We are looking for passionate, self-motivated creators who want to make a dent in believe in the vision and mission of our brand. Candidates should have strong writing skills and ideally are familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Docs. Strong math or analytics skills are a huge plus, as are creative skills with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.
