American Public Television (APT) has been a leading distributor of high-quality, top-rated programming to the nation’s public television stations since 1961. Internships for credits can involve some or all of the following projects, depending on the student’s department of interest (Communications, our three Programming Divisions, APT Worldwide, Distribution, Finance (Accounting/Contracts combined position):
• Media research and database updating
• Press kit writing
• Screening and evaluating unsolicited program submissions for possible distribution to public television stations
• Assisting with distribution of materials to prospective buyers
• Research associated with specific department
• News/media clip archiving
• Other projects and duties as assigned, including data entry, filing and copying documents

RequirementsComputer skills: Microsoft Word, Lotus Notes, web savvy helpful
We ask that the student be available to work 15 or more hours per week, for at least the duration of a semester.
