DescriptionSavely Yurkovsky, Physician PC is seeking an Intern to join our dynamic company. This 30 year old medical practice with an emphasis in alternative healthcare healing modalities is providing a great opportunity for a student seeking a career in medical research, understanding alternative medicine which will include patient management, business/office management, and so much more. You will help us collect data, bring fresh ideas, publish medical studies and books. Also, working with the practice will educate you for the near future and will be fun doing so!
ResponsibilitiesThe intern will perform some responsibilities of using the phones, reviewing/answering emails, researching medical studies and office/patient management. There will be more. Hours are flexible, with a minimum of ten hours a week. This position is available starting in August, and end date/holiday schedule is flexible. The intern will work in Chappaqua, NY office.
The intern will be supervised by office staff and will receive training from the doctor and office manager. The intern will learn cross team communications and project management skills, as well as higher proficiency of MS Suite skills, ability to construct content and enhance communications as well as the usage of web tools, etc. This is a great opportunity to enhance skills in organization, multi-tasking, communications, and learn about event production, event marketing, and event operations. The role will not be dull and the intern will have an opportunity to gain experience in many aspects.
RequirementsQualifications and Requirements:
The intern must have a strong interest in alternative medicine/healthcare and a desire to learn how to run an alternative medical practice. Must live close to the office and have the desire to learn and possibly grow into a paid short term or long term position with the practice.
•General business knowledge – a few business courses or experience working in an office
•Use of MS office suite – basic Word, Outlook, and Excel. PowerPoint helpful.
•Enrolled in a college degree program/ out of High School
•Strong communication (oral, writing and presentation) skills
•Professional presence and demeanor
