DescriptionOur Archival Intern will learn to work with PastPerfect Museum Software and assist with an on-going inventory and review of the museum’s collection. Perfect for: History, Museum Studies, Art History and related fields.

ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the day-to-day collections responsibilities, interns will be responsible for:
-Giving public tour, with training, two weeks into internship
-Mandatory attendance is required by all interns at the events that coincide with your internship time frame:
Spring Event- Fleur-de-lis on Fourth
Summer Events- Louisville on the Lawn and Elegant, Exuberant and Alive Home Tour
Fall Events- 3 days of St. James Court Art Show, Sleeping with the Spirits, Holiday Décor Party, 2 days of
-Answering the door and phone
-Handling sales transactions in the gift shop
-Provide 15 minute presentation detailing projects and learning outcomes to staff and other interns
-Assist with events set-up when needed
RequirementsMust be available at least two days a week for a minimum of 10 hours a week including one weekend day.
Must have at least a high school degree
Must have taken introductory history classes
