Description

Hello! Geopast is looking for a passionate DH intern to work on content acquisition and curation for our current project - PostcardTree.com. The role will offer great exposure to content from the world's leading museums, libraries and archives as well as helping to promote the small, unknown archives out there. You'll get to hone your skills in reviewing content and deciding on the best items to be included in our project.

Responsibilities

- Support and expand public relations with collectors, media contacts, institutions and the general public
- Assist in managing content operations
- Assist in management, research, communication and coordination of content pipeline
- Assist during events and receptions
- Maintain website, blog and social media network presence
- Handle and curate client's property

Requirements

- Humanities, History, Arts, Communications Majors (preferred)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication
- Possess multi-tasking and coordination experience
- Passion for history; actively involved in the DH community
- Demonstrate attention to details while maintaining perspective
- Have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, basic HTML, MS Office Suite

Skills

Required - English language skills, Curatorial, History, Human Geography, Museum Studies, Digital Humanities
Preferred - Genealogy, Postcards
