To provide a place where people enrich their lives through interaction with the visual arts in thought-provoking and creative ways that nourish and delight the mind and spirit. For the fundamental purpose of education, the Museum collects, conserves, exhibits, interprets and researches art.
Internships at the Mobile Museum of Art are limited and highly competitive. These are unpaid positions that provide in depth learning and valuable work experience for anyone interested in a career in the Arts, Arts Administration, Education, Non-profit work, or Business. Internship openings occur throughout the year in conjunction with upcoming programs or exhibitions, and fill up fast. We encourage applicants to start the process early. Internship openings most often occur in the Education, PR/Marketing, or Curatorial departments, but we are willing to discuss tailoring an internship to meet the learning goals and skill-set of an applicant. We are interested in helping graduate and undergraduate students bridge the gap between academia and employability, so we structure our program to meet course credit requirements.
If you want to learn more about our internship program please contact Elizabet Elliott at 251.208.5237 or check out the intern blog.
