DescriptionThe Museum of the American Gangster presents the history of organized crime through an exhibition and a historic site in a former speakeasy. Museum collections include images, weapons, a bootlegger safe and evidence from crime scenes.
The museum assistant helps the curator and guides to anchor the museum, answer phone, greet visitors, collect admissions, help in cataloging, learn to do tours, maintain exhibitions, update labels and help with museum events. The Museum is open 7 days a week from 1 to 6 at 78 St. Marks Place, New York, NY 10003.
