Creative.Life.Support, the non-profit offshoot of Mr. Smalls offers many recording programs to youth throughout the year at Mr. Smalls Recording Studio on Pittsburgh's North Side. We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join the team.

Responsibilities

Intern will work closely with engineers in setting up sessions and producing songs with Creative.Life.Support students.

The We Rock Workshop takes place in the fall and winter, working with current and former foster and homeless youth. It's a 20 week program, 8 weeks in the studio writing, producing and recording original songs, 10 weeks of rehearsals, culminating in a final show at Mr. Smalls Theatre.

Real Life Music Camp takes place in the summer and is a one week program open to anyone. All music camp participants will walk away from the camp with a professionally recorded demo of their own original music, professional band photo, comprehensive bio and a wealth of printed resources to help guide them in their careers. REAL LIFE MUSIC CAMP culminates with a concert featuring the talents of all camp artists and bands as well as presenting and visiting artists.

Interns will help to produce, engineer and mix sessions. This is a very hands-on internship, perfect for someone looking to build a resume with real studio experience.

Requirements

We are looking for:
-An enthusiastic, creative and outgoing personality
-Ability to be self-directed as well as work within a team
-Punctuality and on-going communication with intern supervisors

Must have the following:
-Basic Knowledge of Signal Flow
-Basic knowledge of Microphones
-Basic Knowledge of ProTools
-Knowledge of Studio Maintenance & Etiquette
-Able to troubleshoot gear
-Reliable transportation

Preference to those who have audio degrees
