Description

Are you an aspiring writer looking for an opportunity to work as an album reviewer for an established music website? If so, look no further, because mxdwn.com is for you. Currently, we are looking for an album reviewer who would specialize in electronica music. That means you are an expert in genres like trip-hop, house, synth pop, UK garage and more.


mxdwn is a daily music magazine dedicated to covering a diverse selection of musical content. Reviewers are assigned about five articles per month and will be expected to be consistent and adherent to deadlines. We are looking for people who have a passion for music journalism and have strong knowledge about electronic music!

Please note that this is an unpaid position.

If you are interested in adding your voice to the rich chorus of music journalism, please reply with a brief cover letter, a 300 - 1000 word writing sample, preferably about music and a list of five artists you would consider to be your favorite electronic musicians.

Responsibilities

The most qualified candidates will be those who are passionate about music and passionate about writing. Also extremely important are punctuality, attention to detail and clear communication, especially regarding email. Writing skills are very important, but the candidate's starting skill level is not as important as the willingness to learn and improve over time

Requirements

- Must have a personal computer or smart phone with internet access and WordPress capability.

- Must have personal email address, and the ability to check it daily.

- Must be proficient in English grammar and syntax.
