DescriptioneCommerce Merchandising & Recording Studio Interns needed at Ruff Ryders Indy Entertainment
2-3 Interns needed for immediate start.
LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. We are located in Yonkers, NY.
2-4 days a week to start. 3-5 hrs a day.
Candidate can choose best days based on availability from Monday - Thursday only.
This is a non-paid internship for school credit. If student is able to exceed our expectations, we are willing to upgrade to a paid internship position down the line. If we find the right person, we are fully open to the idea of this internship leading to a full time employee position in the future.
While unpaid, we are willing to arrange to cover commuting costs, plus we provide occasional free lunches and other perks.
Interns will work directly alongside Merchandise Operations Manager & Studio Booking Manager. Each intern will learn the best of both worlds as to the day the day functions behind the scenes in a recording studio / record label setting.
ResponsibilitiesDUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
-Inventory and organization duties (candidate must be able to lift at least 35 lbs). Intern will be responsible for cataloging and organizing all office samples.
-Will assist with occasional out-of-office order fulfillment: packaging, labeling, and mailing.
-Intern will assist with our international order fulfillment duties: will learn about importing logistics and customs/paperwork
-assist with keeping WIP reports up to date, as well as updating other database info. Intern will learn about product life cycle management.
-assisting with office liaisons and communications; compile meeting minutes.
-will assist with other day to day tasks as they arise.
Studio & Booking:
-Interns will be stationed at our reception desk area. You will be the "greeter" for all walk-ins, and require all guests to sign in/out upon entering the studio floor.
- Assist to answer and allocate incoming studio phone calls; take messages.
-Will be trained to be able to answer clients questions regarding studio scheduling, booking, costs, etc. Student will learn the ins and outs of booking recording studio time, from costs and requirements, to more in-depth technical specifications.
-Will assist studio booking manager with clerical and scheduling duties; staying informed of schedule changes or cancellations and keeping all info up to date.
-Oversee and assist during recording sessions (optional, open for your learning and experience purposes, on a case by case basis, but not mandatory - most recording sessions take place at night or on the weekends)
-Both Interns will also assist with updating our Social Media web sites.
Requirements-Student must have a functional Laptop and be able to bring it to office to work off of every day.
-Must be familiar with all Microsoft Office Programs, most importantly Microsoft Excel.
-Should be able and willing to lift boxes up to 35lbs.
