MusicDish*China has been is seeking outgoing Mandarin-fluent internship candidates to help develop its music releases in the China. An internship at MusicDish*China offers students a unique hands-on experience in the growing Chinese music and entertainment market. We are currently seeking Mandarin-fluent internship candidates willing to dedicate around 20 hours per week any time during the semester. The internship is unpaid, though we are happy to assist students all necessary documents to earn course credit.

Launched by MusicDish LLC in 2010, MusicDish*China has been providing a growing roster of foreign acts marketing, digital music distribution and social media promotion in China. With a focus on the live music scene, it has booked its artists to several festivals such as OCT-LOFT, Taihu Music, UNITY Festival and SOTX as well as events like Beijing Music Day, Shanghai Formula 1 and HitFM Live Series. Through its branded channels and partners in mainland China, MusicDish has been introducing a growing and eclectic catalogue of Western music to the world's largest music market.

Responsibilities

MusicDish*China has been is seeking outgoing Mandarin-fluent internship candidates to help develop its music releases in the Chinese market. Candidates will review music from new artists, help track distribution and audience building on Chinese music services such as QQ, Xiami and Kanjian, develop social and mobile media campaigns on weibo, weixin, youku,... and manage outreach to webcasters, tastemakers and online media. Interns will gain experience in research, editorial and social networking activity while bridging Western and Eastern music sectors and scenes.

Requirements

Interns must be fluent in Mandarin, competent writers with an ability to translate English-Chinese, possess basic knowledge and skills in Chinese social media platforms and an avid love for music.
