Description

Talent Scout and Music Internship Opportunity:

Parallel Entertainment is seeking enthusiastic young professionals to learn the front lines of talent scouting and breaking new music talent in the contemporary Country Music space.

We are seeking interns that are available to work from our Culver City offices approximately 10-20 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have a passion for discovering new country music and any experience blogging as well as a familiarization with online social media based marketing initiatives.

This position is an un-paid internship and intended to enhance career opportunities for candidates by providing industry experience, a business network and a working knowledge of music, marketing, A&R and social media.

Duration of internship will be arranged with management based on each candidate's availability and the needs of the company. The company will work with school credit programs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Discover new music and talent through a variety of traditional and industry resources.
Contribute to the development of new talent growing within the online music space and engage with frontline industry leaders.
Stay connected with current industry trends to stay in tune with the music scene, while actively promoting and breaking new artists.
Assist in the development of new media content.


Requirements

Requirements:

Ability to travel to Culver City at least twice a week.
Mastery of Spotify and similar music applications.
Proficient with social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
Highly familiar with music/video platforms i.e. Musically, YouTube, Vine.
HTML or Design experience is a plus.
Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and creative writing skills.
Passion for new music coupled with a knowledge of the industry and happenings.
Excellent communication skills.
Desire to learn more about the music and production industry.
