Art Non-Profit InternshipBookmark This
DescriptionThe Williamsburg Art & Historical (WAH) Center is a non-profit art center located at the base of the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn, NYC. The WAH Center strives to fulfill founder Yuko Nii's "Bridge Concept" - to create an interdisciplinary platform for artists of all ages from local, national, and international backgrounds to connect through the universal language of artistic expression. For more information about the WAH Center, please visit our website at www.wahcenter.net and watch our videos on youtube.
The WAH Center is in search of an honest, reliable, creative, energetic, and responsible individual with a strong work ethic and a detail-oriented approach. We encourage college students with an interest in the arts to apply; an internship at the WAH Center will provide the chosen candidates with hands-on experience and an insight into the inner-workings of a non-profit art organization. Interns will work closely with founder & artistic director, Yuko Nii, planning and coordinating exhibitions and events that include fine art shows, theater performances, dance and music concerts.
ResponsibilitiesHours are negotiable, but interns are required to work at least 8 hours/week. The WAH Center is open from 1-6 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Interns must also be available to help out during shows, performances, and opening receptions which usually take place on the weekends in the evenings/nights.
We invite interns to use their experience towards receiving college credits.
