CDT is a Philadelphia-based dance company created by former Pennsylvania Ballet soloist, Meredith Rainey in 2009. Called “the new jewel in the Philadelphia dance diadem” (Philadelphia Inquirer), CDT creates projects that empower performers and entertain audiences by creating work that is rooted in classical ballet and infused with the collaborative process of theatre. Directions, title, and details of responsibilities will be tailored to the intern’s skills, focus, and educational goals. This position is unpaid. Duties may include: monitoring and developing social media outlets, maintaining office organization, ordering and sale of merchandise, participation in organizational development, fundraising efforts, marketing plans, and promotion of the company. The intern must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, good time management skills, and the ability to work autonomously. Technical knowledge of the craft of dance is not required, but passion for the arts is highly encouraged, and a strong work ethic and desire to succeed is absolutely necessary.
