We are looking for someone to take on fundraising and membership for our non-profit organization on a part-time basis. This nonprofit is focused within the design and construction industry. This is an Intern Position only, and is great opportunity for someone pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or nonprofit management who wants a hands-on experience in a nonprofit to add to their resume.

This is a work from home position. We would like to make this a paid position based on productive performance.

The position is within a nonprofit, focused on improving how we plan, design, construct and operate facilities/capital projects.

Finding Funding Sources
The development director focuses on locating sources of funding, approaching suitable funders and soliciting major donors. He/she also creates and administers fund-raising programs and spends a significant amount of time writing to, calling, and meeting with donors.

A development director must maintain strong communications with the executive director, board of directors and donors via newsletters or other publications to demonstrate financial need and show the fiscal responsibility of the organization.

A director of development creates fund-raising programs and activities while ensuring that the organization operates within the board-approved budget. Adhering to a budget and focusing on meeting fund-raising goals are crucial components of this position.

Must understand the ins and outs of nonprofits, including legal fund-raising techniques. Knowledge of the design and construction industry a plus, but not required.

Supporting Organizational Goals
Development directors play crucial roles in the successes or failures of organizations. Successful directors build upon and create key relationships to expand their funding bases and to ensure that their organizations' programs and goals are realized.


Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must know Microsoft Office Suite.
Prefer Austin, TX location.
