We are currently seeking both college and post-graduate students with a strong interest in human rights and non-profit fundraising. As the world's largest grassroots human rights organization, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals seeking valuable fundraising experience in marketing, customer relations, and data management, applicable in both non-profit and for-profit settings.
The Direct Response unit consists of three teams: Operations, Monthly Giving, and Member Services. Our unit organizes Amnesty International USA's Direct Mail fundraising program, in addition to managing donor relations and donation databases for the entire US-based section. Interns will work throughout the unit to gain a well-rounded experience in how a non-profit fundraising unit functions and how it plays a crucial role in helping AIUSA to achieve its human rights successes.
Primary responsibilities will include data input and integration, membership support and correspondence, and event project assistance. All intern applicants must have strong Word and Excel skills. Prior database and/or customer service experience is preferred. Applicants must also have an ability to meet deadlines and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ideal interns would have a basic understanding of relational databases, including data management and integration. Previous experience with reporting and querying tools is a plus, but not required.
