DescriptionThis internship is focused on supporting AIUSA’s International Advocacy program, which works to influence US policy on human rights issues in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The International Advocacy interns often work closely with the Science for Human Rights Project, which uses new technologies and methods to document and campaign against human rights violations.
Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to drafting blog entries, attending events and meetings, monitoring human rights in specified regions, conducting research projects, and drafting letters and online actions. Candidates should have experience working on or in the specific region and have interest in working on foreign policy issues.
