DescriptionSearching for a Mental Health/Social Worker Intern or RMHCI or RCSWI who has a passion, for working with youth and families in Palm Beach, Florida. Our referral base has tripled in the past 45 days and would like to have you join our family. This is an unpaid volunteer internship that could turn to a paid position for the right candidate.
Conduct Orientations with assigned clients, and their families to successfully enroll clients into program.
Assess client by conducting a Bio-Psychosocial, Group Bio-Psychosocial Evaluation and/or other screenings that may assist in determining appropriate placement, while considering court ordered requirements.
Partner with client in developing a treatment plan/treatment plan review for successful achievement of goals.
Conduct Individual and Family sessions as per stated in treatment plan (home, school, office visits)
Responsible to conduct CFARS or FARS on all clients
Responsible to conduct Substance Abuse Admission only on clients with a substance abuse diagnosis.
Conduct bi-monthly peer reviews on client charts to ensure the compliance of documentation in client charts.
Required to submit progress notes, evaluations, treatment plans/reviews, daily activity reports, & other docs such as monthly reports, peer reviews, goal attainment sheets in a timely manner as outlined in the policy and procedures manual.
Responsible to document all activities or conversations regarding client in "client activity log" & "client activity call sheet".
Responsible to document all in-session interactions in "client activity log", as well as in an individual progress note. (All sessions must have a completed, signed, dated progress note).
Required to Email a Progress Report to Referring Agent for each of your clients before the 10 th of each month.
Required to attend Clinical Staffing on a weekly basis..
Required to follow reporting procedures regarding unusual events as per policies and procedures (ie: abuse, incidents)
Required to attend weekly/mos. staff meetings for unit trainings and updates on requirements per policy & procedures.
Required to make face to face or verbal contact with offsite agencies in an effort to ensure that support networks are established for youth and that treatment plan goals and objectives are realized by client and family on a long term basis.
Required to remain in compliance with the Standards as set forth by agencies including DCF, Health Dept. and other Licensing Agencies as reflected by the Policies and Procedures of the organization (ie: Infection Control)
Other projects and services as agreed upon may include participating in projects that may boost financial sustainability of organization and educating local professionals on topics that support values as reflected by the mission, vision and goals of the organization, among other.
RequirementsLevel 1 and Level 2 Successful Screenings a Must
Willingness to complete HIV, CPR, First Aid, Prevention, Hippa, and other Compliance Trainings
Able to volunteer for a minimum of 15 hours - 10 of these, face to face hours with clients
Willing to meet with supervisor on a weekly basis to review cases and documents (Registered pay $20 wk. - agency pays balance)
Willing to submit corrected client documents on a weekly basis
SkillsRequired - Proficient Communicator, Computer Proficiency, Bilingual Proficiency
Preferred - Bilingual English-French, Bilingual-English/Spanish, Bilingual Communications
