DescriptionArts to Grow (ATG) is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with New York City metro area public schools and community organizations to provide music, visual arts, theater, dance and literary programs to underserved urban youth. Through our powerful model for learning through the arts, we help each child experience life-changing personal success. They discover joy in learning, become self-motivated, feel valued and gain self-confidence and skills necessary to look beyond the limitations of their environment and become leaders now and in the future.

Interns for Arts to Grow work closely with the Founder/Executive Director. We are looking for an intern that can commit a minimum of 10-20 hours weekly for a minimum of two months. Work hours are very flexible. Interns work on-site in Arts to Grow's home-office, which is located 25 minutes from mid-town Manhattan and is walking distance from the Grove Street PATH station in the historic Van Vorst Park section of Jersey City.

Development - Conduct fundraising research, helping to identify potential prospects, Preparing and sending annual appeal letters to donors and prospects, assisting with creating board materials, training on basics of Giftworks Fundraising software, Assist with grant-writing
Communications/Marketing - Assist in the creation of our e-mail newsletter using Constant Contact, work with Executive Director in creating marketing materials for our program partners (schools and community organizations), assist with writing and disseminating announcements of ATG culminating events to media outlets, donors and program partners, assist in creating and updating website content, assist with creation of video and photographic documentation of our programs, assist with editing and sharing of photographic documentation of our program on our website and social media outlets
Special Events: Kicking off your 3rd yr with Youth, I.N.C.'s Celebration 2014 (November) - participate in a team of 2-3 on cultivating sponsors and preparing for, organizing, planning, assisting with, and following up on Youth I.N. C. event between now and November. assist with development and implementation of all aspects of small cultivation events designed to attract new potential donors and board members
Social Media Communications - write blog posts, research and post reblogs on our blog and social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr and YouTube.
