DescriptionThe Network Development Department works and consults with the network to increase its’ overall capacity and assist affiliates in delivering the Lupus Foundation of America mission. The Network Development Intern will provide support to staff as well as conduct research projects. Research and draft capacity building grant proposals. Develop toolkits and manuals for the chapters on topics such as fundraising and governance. Develop Standard Operating Procedures. Support the coordination of meetings and teleconferences
Requirementshe ideal candidate will possess or currently be enrolled in a Master’s Degree program. Possess a strong demonstrated interest in nonprofits and health organizations. Excellent research, oral, and written communication skills. Superior planning and organizational skills. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently. Computer literacy is required, with proficiency using Microsoft Office.
This is an unpaid (college credit only) position which will remain open until filled. The internship dates are flexible, however, a three month commitment is preferred. The candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
