DescriptionThe internship position is a full time non-paid volunteer learning opportunity, allowing each individual to sculpt their management skills while garnering a tremendous amount of real world industry related experience. The PPF intern will work directly with the executive director to oversee all operations for the Foundation.
The Pro Players Foundation mission: “Enriching the lives of disadvantaged children across North Texas through sports-based programs.”. PPF partners with professional sports teams through a variety of initiatives to help make sure every child has the ability to succeed and the opportunity for a bright future including:
Instant RePlay: An “Extreme Makeover” of community sports facilities. These projects give children a place to play and grow and give the community a center of hope in which they can take pride.
Character Camps: Heroes & coaches from professional sports teams give underprivileged youth the opportunity to learn the importance of character, purpose and responsibility while simultaneously developing athletic skills.
Play It Forward: This program collects & rejuvenates sporting equipment to be donated to kids in need, ensuring every child in North Texas has the chance to “get in the game.”
PPFeed the Need: Provides hope through food for disadvantaged & at-risk children.

Comments from past interns:
"This internship exceeded every expectation I had. It was the perfect job to gain real world experience. I made connections and got a true taste of every day work life. I had something new to do almost every day while also learning different ways to network with professionals and how to plan and execute events. The people involved with Pro Players Foundation are some of the nicest and most genuine people you will ever meet. They truly care about their interns gaining experience while also having a good time at work. This internship was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I will never forget the knowledge that I gained while working there." - Taylor, Summer 2014
"I was a part of the planning and execution of several different events and the marketing and promotion of the organization. I was given the opportunity to be an active participant in all meetings and events. I defined and completed several different projects on my own. Most importantly, I was exposed to a great group of people from whom I was able to learn. PPF is composed of a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about their careers, the foundation, and the people in their lives. PPF holds their interns to a very high standard, and expects them to perform at that level. But, they will not treat you like an intern, they will make sure you are assisted and motivated, and that you achieve success. I am extremely happy with my decision to intern with PPF and strongly recommend choosing to be part of this great group." - Patrick, Fall 2013
