Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine, Inc. includes three practice locations in Greensboro, two in High Point and one in Reidsville, North Carolina. These practices provide care to 39,000 children and 15,000 adults. These patients have more than 90,000 visits annually at the organization’s medical offices. The majority of the children and adults served by Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine Inc. have annual incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Administrative headquarters are located at 5817 High Point Rd. Greensboro, NC in the Adams Farm Medical Park.

Social Media intern needed to assist with development and implementation of strategic marketing plan for the organziation. The intern will work closely with the Development and Volunteer Manager to create and organize a sustainable social media plan that is appropriate to the organization. 3 month and 6 month internships available.

Non-Profit Management intern will gain broad knowledge and experience with the leading non-profit healthcare organization in Guilford County. This non-clinical position will include experience in volunteer management, development, marketing, fund raising, grant writing, financial planning and Board development. Minimum of 6 months required.

Volunteer Management intern will work closely with the Development and Volunteer Manager to gain an understanding of the nuts and bolts of volunteer management. The internship experience will include volunteer recruitment, the application process, interviewing skills and strategies and volunteer scheduling. Other areas will include monthly ROI (return on investment) statistics and reports, the importance of creating a volunteer friendly environment and culture, volunteer retention and volunteer appreciation event planning. Minimum of 3 months required. Note: Collectively, the Director of Fund Development and the Development and Volunteer Manager have over 20 years experience in volunteer management.

Responsibilities

Social Media Intern Responsibilities:
* Complete orientation and website review
* Confirm understanding of organization's mission, purpose and vision
* Assist with managing Facebook page for organization
* Create, develop and document policies and procedures for using LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest for a non-profit business
* Assist in developing a strategic plan to expand and sustain additional social media platforms
* Research and report findings from Facebook followers (shares, likes, etc.)
* Create informative and educational presentations to staff (Lunch and Learn sessions) to further expand knowledge and value of social media

Non-Profit Management Intern:
* Specific tasks and projects will be designed on an individual basis prior to starting the internship.
* Students interested in the internship for course credit will need to provide the course name, professor or advisor and a list of objectives and expectations to the Development and Volunteer Manager.
* At a minimum, the intern will rotate through each area (volunteer management, development, marketing, finance and Board development) and provide a summary of their experience.
* Other assignments may include: attending a Board meeting, conducting patient interviews for marketing project and attending a community event related to the organization's mission

Volunteer Management Intern:
* Confirm understanding of organization's mission, purpose and vision
* Assist with data entry for monthly reports via Excel
* Participate in volunteer rounds at all the medical practice locations
* Participate with volunteer screening and application process
* Participate with volunteer interviews and scheduling
* Attend weekly department meeting to gain insight on current events and projects

Requirements

Social Media Intern: Seeking a college junior or senior in the social marketing field with advanced knowledge of current trends, social media development and managing accounts. Must have a minimum knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and Hootsuite. Excellent writing skills required; attention to detail and organization skills important. Skills assessment included during interview process.

Non-Profit Management Intern: Seeking a graduate student actively enrolled with a college or university in the field of Non-Profit Management. Persons with experience in non-profits and/or volunteer management will be considered. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Internet research. Seeking individuals who are willing to learn as well as offer personal and professional input and experiences.

Volunteer Management Intern: Seeking an undergraduate or post graduate individual interested in learning about the administrative side of managing volunteers as well as the importance and "how tos" of building relationships and partnerships. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Internet research. Experience in working with volunteers or being a volunteer preferred. Applicant must be comfortable working in a limited work space and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
