Description

Each March, the Boston Jewish Music Festival present some 20 events across Greater Boston, from performances in clubs concert halls to workshops at colleges and senior centers. Help plan and manage the 2015 Boston Jewish Music Festival. Do you have what it takes to take an idea and make it happen? We are looking for an intern to work in the following areas:
1. Web Site Content
Working with our web firm and designer, help us keep our site simple and efffective
2. Social Media
Keep BJMF and relevant news about Jewish music and culture buzzing. Help us on Facebook, Twitter, and in the worlds of music and Jewish blogging.
3. Marketing Support
Use your ideas and writing talents to shape the BJMF event catalogue, program brochure and enewsletter.

Responsibilities

Responsible for building BJMF's online presence and web traffic.
Must be a creative thinker, active social media person, and good writer.

Requirements

To get the most of your experience here, we are looking for people with the following skills and interest:
1. MUST be able to work virtually. We have no offices so you'll work out of your living space and we meet at places that serve good coffee or lunch.
2. Our best interns have been independent and self directed. If you agree to a deadline, you must meet it. YOumust be good at communicating what you want to learn and do and then go out and do it.,
3. Interest in music and how music can help build community
4. Writing skills
5. Sense of humor
