DescriptionThe Alzheimer's Association is a nonprofit organization that provides free education and support services to those affected by Alzheimer's and their families.
We are looking for interns to assist our Program Services Coordinator in providing support services. These services include educational presentations in the community, partnering with local churches and organizations in the community to bring awareness of Alzheimer's by representing us at health Fairs and other community events, providing information and referrals to families, physician outreach, advocacy, and Diversity Conference assistance
Internship available immediately. Schedule and length will be discussed in interview
Responsibilities-Answering Helpline calls and entering call information online
-Offer education presentations in the community
-Visit physicians in the area and provide Alzheimer's Association information
-Participate in annual conference planning
-Office work that includes mailings, updating referral lists and other related tasks
Requirements-Must be working on attaining at least a bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or other healthcare -related field
-Must have a professional and friendly phone voice
-Must be comfortable doing presentations on Alzheimer's in the Community (will train)
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, publisher, Excel, and various online tasks
