DescriptionThe intern will provide direct assistance support to the Financial Assistance, Care Management, and Public Policy program. Within the client programs department, the intern may focus on client assistance programs for financial assistance, care management, long- term care or resource programs. Most of the client contact is on the phone.
**We do provide our interns with a stipend. This is awarded at the end of their internship commitment and is paid directly to their university/college account to help with education expenses. We accept applications from all over, but please keep in mind that we are unable to provide relocation or living expenses.**
Responsibilities•Assist with provision of agency services to people living with MS.
•Compile and evaluate statistics about service provision and customer satisfaction.
•Research and compile information on community resources related to financial assistance and long term care support to individuals with MS.
•Provide intermittent case management support to individuals with MS and their care partner, including processing appropriate documentation and following up with other community resources.
RequirementsMust be at least 18
Must be enrolled with a university/college at the time of the internship
Must be available for 14-16 hrs per week between Mon-Fri: 8:30AM-5PM
Strong interpersonal skills
Students with Interest in Social Work
Knowledge of Word and Excel
Strong communication skills in-person and phone
