Slow Art Day is a global arts movement with a simple mission: help more people learn how to look at and love art.
Interns gain experience building a global arts movement, develop skills in marketing, social media, administration and management, and build their network in the art world.

We are currently hiring Best Practices and Host Support Interns for the summer of 2014. Summer internships are scheduled on a 8 - 12 week basis, and a 15 - 20 hour/week commitment is expected. Start and end dates are flexible. Internships can be extended upon mutual agreement of the intern and the internship coordinator. All internships are unpaid; school credit can be arranged.

If you have experience in consulting or are a top student in art history and are interested in arts management and arts administration, then apply for this position. You will work with museums, galleries and volunteers around the world, registering their organization, answering questions, developing outreach and marketing strategies, and communicating with hosts at major museums and galleries around the world. Depending on the skills and interests of our interns, this internship could extend into researching, evaluating, and reporting on best practices in museum management, education, and programming. Upon acceptance to the internship program, we will work with you to develop a specific project that is relevant to your interests, skill set, and career goals.

As a small non-profit organization, we offer interns the opportunity to quickly advance to positions of responsibility. This internship is ideal for someone who is ambitious or visionary, who wants to make an impact through arts and social change.

This is a remote internship, with interns participating from all over the world. As such, all applicants will need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined, capable of working with little supervision and under remote guidance. Interns must be available for monthly conference calls and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins with their supervisor. Email is the main mode of communication for our organization, and interns must check and respond to email frequently and promptly. Familiarity with Google Drive or a willingness to learn is required.
