Brief Company Profile:
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), and the MidOhio Affiliate, is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat affiliates work locally in communities around the world to select and support homeowners, organize volunteers, and coordinate house building. Since its founding in 1976, Habitat has served more than 600,000 families worldwide, providing shelter for more than 1 million people in nearly 90 countries. The MidOhio affiliate has built over 290 homes in Franklin and Licking since 1987.

Description:
Assist Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative Outreach Coordinator in team survey of the Milo-Grogan area buildings, residential parcels, block conditions, and residents. Some data-entry of collected information into Success Measures, maybe required.

Goals of Position:
The position will utilize different methods of approaches (research and statistics) to understand the quality of life (physical conditions, social cohesion, sense of community, and more) within the Milo-Grogan community. The information collected will be input into the Success Measures Data System.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:
Working with in a team; attending all training sessions and meetings; signing in and out; gathering designated information (physical conditions of the buildings, block, residential parcels, and person-to-person residential surveys), within an assigned area and returning surveys to the NRI Outreach Coordinator within the given time frame.

Training:
All training sessions will be conducted at Habitat For Humanity MidOhio.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Must have good organizational skills, some computer skills; have a working cell-phone, willing to work in a team; clear- written communication skills, a reliable transportation to Habitat for Humanity Mid-Ohio and to the neighborhoods; and a desire for contributing towards making a difference in the lives of the people of the community.

Time Commitment:
Minimum: 100 hours and 10 person-to-person surveys, (includes trainings, meetings, time spent in field and office), over the course of three months. With the option for an extension for summer and fall.
