We are a Tech Non-Profit company which promotes cutting edge technology and educational training to develop and support the local community. We are searching for an experienced Administrative Assistant to volunteer part-time onsite at our Bayside NY office, with growing an exciting community engagement organization.
Come join our laid back office environment complete with IT geeks, other dot coms, zero-defect gourmet coffee, large screen TV, recliner couches, playstation, weekend LAN gaming parties, and tech meetups. 2 blocks from LIRR, Q13 and near Q27 bus.
Hours : M-F 12:00 pm- 5:00 pm
Responsibilities- Answer phones, take messages or direct as appropriate, maintain and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations, Coordinate internal and external meetings
- Work alongside the owner of the company. The position would allow first access to new projects that come into the company, who would help oversee projects and tasks in transition from new business prospects to full-blown projects.
- Manage my schedule and communications. You will protect my time, shield me from unwanted contacts, manage my communications, follow up with the people who need following up with, and set proper expectations
- Be highly organized, an excellent verbal and written communicator, have a take charge personality, able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Strong research capabilities; good manners and interpersonal skills; and a solid work ethic. market research; calendar; correspondence with affiliates and employees
Requirements1+ years experience
Pursuing BA or greater / achieved BA
Fluent English Speaker
Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills
Responsible and punctual
