DescriptionThe District of Columbia Association for the Education of Young Children is the local affiliate, in the nation's capital, of National Association for the Education of Young Children. The mission is to promote high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.
The internship is designed to fulfill the requirement of NAEYC to have a consultant/intern to serve as the primary contact for DCAEYC. The intern works at home for approximately two and a half hour a week. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate's degree in Business Management or a related field. Some of the responsibilities include: respond to emails, telephone calls and messages; assisting in the planning of events and meetings; and completing reports and submitting them on time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact to NAEYC for DCAEYC.
- Respond to emails, telephone calls and messages to DCAEYC.
-Ensure all reports are completed and submitted on time.
- Other duties as agreed upon.
RequirementsA minimum of an Associate's degree in Business Management or a related field.
